The lock
My apps didn’t lock
Check that Floss Lock still has Screen Time permission (iPhone Settings → Screen Time → Apps with Screen Time Access) and that your lock time is set in the app. If you just updated iOS, open Floss Lock once so it can set the lock again.
I need an app right now
Use one of your 2 skips for the week, or use the timer instead of the camera check.
How do I turn the lock off?
Turn off the nightly lock in Floss Lock’s settings, or remove its Screen Time permission. Deleting the app removes the lock too.
The floss check
The camera isn’t counting
Face the phone with good light, keep your hands and mouth in view, and pick the tool you’re using (string floss, picks, water flosser or little brushes). The timer always works instead. The camera never records anything.
Streaks and Toothy
I missed a night
Toothy gets a bit muddy and the next floss cleans him up. Floss the next two nights to repair your streak.
How do I start over?
Delete the app and install it again. This erases your streak, Pearls and history, which live only on your phone.
Plus and Family
Cancel or change a subscription
iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Floss Lock. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date or trial end to avoid a charge. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel it.
Restore a purchase on a new phone
Sign in with the same Apple ID, open the Plus screen in Floss Lock and tap Restore purchases.
Refunds
Apple handles refunds. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Family boards
Leave or remove someone
A parent can remove anyone from the family board. Teens ask a parent. To delete a whole family’s data, email us from any member’s phone and include the family’s nicknames.
Privacy
No account, nothing recorded, and we can’t see which apps you lock. The details are in our privacy policy.
Floss Lock builds a habit. It doesn’t replace checkups and isn’t a medical device.
